Optically Guided Lamination

Optically Guided lamination, the best-known method for aligning moving film surfaces.  Likewise,  lamination optically guides every layer simultaneously for accurate registration.  Consequently, removing simple problems such as telescoping rolls.  As a result, near-perfect lamination can be achieved.

Lamination Sizes

By all means, we can laminate in master rolls starting at 48″.  Although, standard volume flex is processed at 12″.  In addition, the typical core size is 6″.  With moving to unwind/rewind, optical guiding, and full tension control, lamination allows customers to pick adhesives for the application.

EDS Control

Did you know Electrostatic Discharge “ESD” has the potential to cause sever damage in laminated assemblies?  By the same token, if “ESD” is controlled, very high yields can be achieved.  In a similar fashion, both positive, and negative charges must be managed.  With automated controls the proper sensing, the continuing world of shifting electrical charges can be managed.

SMTFlex™ assemblies can be laminated without ESD damage.
